Abstract:
In this talk, we'll be presenting Talk2MyData, a solution developed at Santalucía to make data access more widespread amongst business users. By using natural language, non-technical users can directly query the company's internal data without needing advanced knowledge of SQL or analytical tools. As well as speeding up response times for requests usually sent to technical departments, this tool encourages a self-service culture and progressive learning, positioning Santalucía as a data-driven organisation. We'll be covering the context that led to its creation, how it works technically, and the impact it's had on the company's day-to-day operations.
Bio: A Physics graduate with a Master's in Multivariate Statistics from the University of Salamanca and specialised training in Financial Markets and Big Data and Data Science from the UNED. He has over seven years' experience in predictive modelling applied to the financial and energy sectors. He has worked on projects focused on advanced analytics and, more recently, on solutions based on deep learning and conversational assistants. He currently works as part of the Data Science team at Santalucía, supporting initiatives aimed at democratising data and the transformation towards a data-centric company.
