One of the SEPLN's aims is to further the research and innovation in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). The particularities and opportunities of NLP, as an AI field, have to be considered in a scientific, economic, industrial, and social context where AI is increasingly present. Hence, the SEPLN has sponsored the elaboration of the Natural Language Processing Strategy.
The document has an executive orientation, and it exposes the situation of NLP in different scenarios: scientific, educational, economic, industrial, public, and private financing, following a SWOT scheme (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats).
SEPLN expects this document to show the enormous opportunities that the scientific and industrial progress of NLP can bring to the advancement of AI and the prosperity of our society.
