On April 27th, the opening talk of the new Webinars Series organized by the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing (SEPLN) will take place to showcase the latest advancements in language technology. The series is titled "C-SEPLN: Talks of the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing", and will feature recognized speakers from academia and industry who will discuss topics of great interest and relevance. The series will be periodic, mainly held in the afternoon (CET/CEST) on the last Thursday of each month.
The series will commence with the opening talk by Prof. Maite Taboada, Distinguished SFU Professor of the Department of Linguistics at Simon Fraser University and Director of the Discourse Processing Lab. She will speak about "Natural Language Processing for detecting gender gaps in the media." To attend the talk you must pre-register at the following Link.
The program includes talks covering a wide range of topics related to natural language processing, such as natural language understanding and generation, sentiment analysis, and machine translation, among others. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and technologies, as well as exchange ideas with other language technology professionals.
SEPLN encourages the widest possible dissemination of this new initiative, which is believed to be of great interest to both SEPLN members and anyone else interested in learning more about and training in language technologies. Likewise, SEPLN encourages proposals for topics and speakers that may be of interest to the community.
